Top 5 Wednesday: Red Covers

.

We have officially entered the month of February and to start off this month, I decided to do another Top 5 Wednesday post which is always fun to make. This week, the prompt is to list some books with red covers—which I think is very fitting because this month we celebrated Chinese New Year and Valentine's Day that involves a lot of red colors. In this post, I will include 5 books with red covers that I'm planning to read within this year. I think it will be more fun instead of listing books that I've already read in the past. So here they are, listed in no particular order πŸ˜‰.

The Maid by Nita Prose
I first heard about this book through a BookTube channel and immediately put it on my to-read list. This year, I plan to read more books with genres that are outside of my comfort zone—one of them is mystery or thriller. I heard great things about this book, so I'm pretty excited to read it myself 😊. Even though the book cover is quite simple, I find it very intriguing as if we're looking at the situation through a keyhole 🧐
BrenΓ© Brown is one of my favorite authors and her books has inspired me in so many different ways. I was planning to read this book as soon as it was published but somehow didn't manage to do so last year. Hopefully I will be able to read it within this month because in January it was pushed back by some of the newly released books that distracted me πŸ™ˆ
This book is part of a trilogy but this is the only one with a red cover πŸ˜†. I was especially drawn to this series because the average rating on Goodreads is pretty high and the story sounds quite interesting. The genre of this book is also mystery—something that I don't usually read, but hopefully I will be able to enjoy it nevertheless.
The title of this book stood out to me when I heard it in a podcast that I listened to the other day. I immediately look it up on Goodreads and found that the average rating of this book is really high considering the amount of people who've read it. Looking forward to reading this book and learning how to stay emotionally healthy in the chaos of the modern world.

The last book on this list is a popular memoir that I've been wanting to read for quite some time now. Autobiography/memoir is yet another genre that I don't usually read, but I'm willing to try this book out and see whether I end up loving it or not. I find the book cover intriguing as well because the noodles are shaped like tears flowing on a person's face.

I always enjoy writing posts like these which allowed me to share my thoughts about books and anything related to reading, but sometimes it's difficult to find a prompt that I really want to talk about πŸ˜†. I hope that by publishing this post, I will keep myself accountable and read all the books on this list within this year. If by any chance you also decided to make this Top 5 Wednesday post, feel free to share it in the comments below so I can check them out and get more book recommendations πŸ˜‰. I'll see you in the next post! πŸ‘‹

  1. Some good looking books there. I want to read The Maid. I mainly read thrillers and mystery with chick lit thrown in. I haven't read much in Biography and Autobiography genres
