I know this post is super late, but whatever, I'll just post it anyway. I was thinking of combining November and December's book haul together, but I think it might be too much—since I'm thinking of buying myself a bunch of books as my own Christmas present. In November I acquired 9 books in total (5 English books and 4 Indonesian books); 4 of them I received as a gift or was sent to me by publishers. Pretty small haul, right? Especially compared to last month. I've read quite a lot of books from this pile, so I don't feel as guilty as I did in October. So without further ado, here are the books that I got in November!
The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo | Non-Fiction | Book Review
The Expats by Chris Pavone | Fiction
I received this as a gift / souvenir from a my brother's girlfriend when she went back from a trip overseas. I think this is actually the very first time someone else bought me a book from overseas, so thank you XD. I have no idea what this book is about because I never heard about it before, but I'll make sure to read it when I have the time :))
Penerbit Haru sent me a copy of this book after I read and reviewed the manuscript a while before it was published. It's a light read that can be finished in a short time, and it's my first time reading a Philippine translated novel. If you want to find out more about this book, feel free to read my book review :)
This is a book by my college classmate and I bought this book as a form of support for him. I got it from Gramedia Bookstore, and the book is surprisingly very thin. The illustrations in this book are printed in color, so I guess that's one of the reason why such a thin book has a fairly expensive price. It's an entertaining short read; I love his witty answers to the questions in this book.
This book is one of my most anticipated release because obviously, it's Mitch Albom! So when I saw this book on display at Periplus Bookstore, I didn't need to think twice before picking it up and taking it to the cashier. It's very rare for me to buy a hardcover edition of a book (because usually I will patiently wait for the cheaper paperback edition), but I can't help it. It's super expensive for only one book, but I have no regrets :)

The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch | Non-Fiction | Goodreads Review
Here's another book that I've actually read back in 2010, but I decided repurchase it because I gave my old copy to a friend. I realized I was missing this book when I packed my books while moving out and I went to order a copy from Book Depository. It's a book that's very close to my heart and I treasure it so much. Will definitely re-read this one day :)
I feel super blessed when Gramedia announced that I was selected as 'Resensi Pilihan' (Gramedia's Review of the Week) on the third week of November. The review was for the book Berlabuh di Lindøya by Kusumastuti Fischer, and I seriously did not expect to get chosen. Nevertheless I feel really greatful and blessed because then I will get 2 free books that are published by Gramedia! I always enjoy Mia Arsjad's fun stories and am always curious about Sapardi Djoko Damono's books. Hopefully I'll get to read these books soon :D
I pre-ordered this last book from Periplus.com because they had a special price, and I've been highly anticipating this book as well because it's the last book in The Lunar Chronicles series. If you know me, I never start reading a series before all the books have been published. And now since I have this book in my hands, I have no more reason to hold myself back from reading this series. I heard so many good things about it and hopefully I'll enjoy it as much as other people did. On a side note, that cover is just so stunning! Don't you agree?
Alright, those are all the books that I got in the month of November! So far I haven't got that much books in December, not sure if it will change drastically towards Christmas though :1 Have you read any of the books that I have in my haul? Or is there anything that piqued your interest? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below. You can also share your book haul posts if you want ;) Alright, I'll see you in the next one!
