It's been a very long time since I last made a Top Ten Tuesday post ! The last one that I did was back in June, that was like 4 months ago. So since I'm still not done with the book reviews that I'm supposed to publish (because life has been crazy busy lately), I guess I should just prepare a non-review post like this. And I kind of missed making it as well :) This week's topic is pretty exciting, which is Top Ten Wishes I'd Ask the Book Genie to Grant Me. So basically I can ask for anything bookish that I ever dreamed of and the book genie will grant me. Oh how I wish this was real. So here goes my wish, Genie.
1. The prettiest library I could ever imagine.I know this is quite a broad wish, but it's the first thing that came to mind. Because throughout the years of me collecting books, I actually put quite a lot of effort in arranging my bookshelves and trying to make them look pretty. But somehow, I can never manage to make my bookshelves look like all the really beautiful ones I see online. So I think I need some kind of magic here, Genie.
2. Self-cleaning bookshelves.
Another bookshelf related wish, which I think is really important for me. Dirty bookshelves is inevitable, and I really don't have the time to take down all my books to wipe down the shelves and books one by one. A self-cleaning shelf would be perfect. Can someone really invent this, please?
3. Make all my book boyfriends come to life.
I think this one is pretty self-explanatory. I need my Percy Jackson, Augustus Waters, Peeta Mellark, Peter Kavinsky, and Minho. YAS ♥
4. Multiply my reading speed by 100 times.
I have always wished that I was able to read faster than I do now. I wish that I can read like 20 books in a month; then maybe I won't have as much books in my TBR list. Even when I put my best effort, I can probably only read up to a little bit more than 10 books a month.
5. A card that can buy me all the books I want.
The magic card! I don't care what kind of card it is but please let me buy unlimited amount of books for free! I think I would probably lose my mind if someday someone gave this card for me as a present.
6. A book cafe next to where I live.I've visited several book cafes over the years, but have only visited one in the city where I live. And even that one is on the other side of the city from my home. Which is why I need a pretty and cozy book cafe next to where I live so I can go read and chill somewhere else.
7. All the bookish Funko Pop!
It's been quite a while since I started loving these figurines and wanted to collect them so much. So far I have already owned 5 (Daenerys and Jon Snow from Game of Thrones, Harry Potter, Legolas from The Lord of the Rings, and Loki from Thor movies) and I want more of them. I now they don't serve any purpose besides looking cute, that's why I don't buy a lot within a short amount of time. But if the book genie can gave me all at once, that will be awesome <3
8. Bookish candles.
Scented candles are my favorites because whenever I light them in my room, I always feel relaxed. I have been eyeing this store called FromthePage on Etsy, that sells book inspired soy candles! Isn't that cute? They even have a candle that's called "Peeta's Cake"—which I instantly want to buy because of the name, and other interesting ones like "Butterbeer", "Winterfell", and even "Mother of Dragons". But I've been hesitating since I don't know if I'll like the smell or not. So please Genie, let me have them all for free :))
9. All the bookish mugs.
Another bookish merchandise that I want to collect will be bookish mugs! I also have a weird obsession with mugs—which my friend always find weird, because you can only drink out of one mug at a time. The store that I'm in love with is called Bookwormboutique and I really want to have all the mugs! I would definitely love it even more if it's not just a regular shaped mug.
10. The ability to live in a fictional world.
I mean, why not?! Except for dystopian world, I don't think I'm capable enough to handle the situation. The number 1 fictional world I would want to try and live in would definitely be Hogwarts. I want to know how it feels becoming a student in Hogwarts, flying on broomsticks, watching Quidditch tournaments, etc. Wouldn't that be amazing?
Okay, so that's it for this week's list! I really enjoyed making this post so I hope it's also somewhat entertaining for you to read :) What are your wishes that you want the book genie to grant? Feel free to share your thoughts or even your own Top Ten Tuesday links below :)) I'll be glad to check them out. Bye!
Loving everything on your list! I wish we could live at Hogwarts!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I wish for the same thing too :)
DeleteBrilliant list! I'd be happy with those pretty, self cleaning shelves in my very own library. Love the idea of book related scented candles as well, I've never heard of them before.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT.
Thank you! Visited your list as well ;)
DeleteI agree with all of these, but most of all #6! A book cafe would be pretty cool to have nearby.

I love this list and definitely #10... though I might be worried by some of the grimdark stuff I read!! I better take an axe...

LOL. I might even have to start taking self-defense lessons for the darker worlds XD
DeleteAll of these are fantastic wishes, I second all of them! But especially the ability to live in fictitious worlds! Though, we should add an immortality clause! Cause some of our favorite worlds, I have a a feeling we wouldn't last more than a couple pages worth in them, they are so dangerous :p
