I am just so utterly happy when I saw this trailer on my Youtube subscription feed. And watching this trailer made me desperately want to read I Am Malala soon. For those of you who're not familiar with Malala Yousafzai, she's a girl who was shot on the head by Taliban when she returned from school. She miraculously survived and is now leading campaigns to promote girls' education globally. At the age of 17 years old, Malala received the Nobel Peace Prize for her struggle against the right of all children to education. And she has become the youngest-ever Nobel Prize laureate. Isn't she great? I have so much respect for her and will most definitely watch this documentary if I get the chance :)) If you haven't seen the trailer yet, check it out below :)))

"I am those 66 million girls who are deprived of education. I am not a lone voice. I am many. Our voices are our most powerful weapons. One child, one teacher, one book, and one pen. They can change the world."
This documentary will be around 90-minutes long and will be telling the story of Malala Yousafzai's life; starting from the events in which she encountered the Taliban and was shot in the head until the aftermath when she became an activist to promote girls' education. Judging from the trailer, I think the documentary will also include all of Malala's public appearances and speeches, as well as what she has achieved through her constant effort. Malala's father also appeared in the trailer because he has supported his daughter in fighting for education for girls worldwide.

"I don’t want to be remembered as the girl who was shot. I want to be remembered as the girl who stood up."
—Malala Yousafzai, 2014 Nobel Prize Winner
I don't know why but this trailer makes me really emotional all of a sudden. Is it just me? My heart instantly warms up at the thought of this young girl, who's just a teenager, spending her life to fight for education. She's a real hero, and like I said, I really respect her for what she did. I've watched several videos of Malala's TV appearances and speeches, and I always teared up every single time :')) If you're interested on reading Malala's Nobel lecture, you can read it here. It's really inspiring and just great. I think she definitely deserves that Nobel Prize :))

What about you? Have you heard about Malala? And are you interested to watch this documentary? :) Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments below.

"I tell my story not because it is unique, but because it is not.
It is the story of many girls."
—Malala Yousafzai
