Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies

.

Here we are again with another Top Ten Tuesday post! This topic is actually scheduled for June 2nd, which is two weeks ago, but I couldn't publish the post on time so I decided to just do it any week I like. And the topic, as stated in the title above, is  Top Ten Books I'd Love To See As Movies/Tv Shows. I already made a Top 5 Wednesday list on books I'd want to see as TV shows, so for this one I'll go with the movies. Some of the books on this list are actually in the progress of being made into a movie, but I'll still include them because they're worth it. Okay, here's the list in no particular order.

I've Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella | Book Review
The first one that pop up in my mind is this book that I loved so much because it was so funny. I think this will be the perfect romantic comedy movie. It's cute and fluffy and sweet. Ugh, I love this book so much.
Legend trilogy by Marie Lu | Book Review 1 / 2 / 3
After finished reading this trilogy, I found out that it's actually in the process of being made into a movie. The first book is set to premiere in 2016 and I'm extremely excited to see how it's going to turn out. I'm really hoping they will choose the perfect casts, because I will be mad if they mess up this movie adaptation because I love this trilogy a lot.

Every Day by David Levithan | Book Review
The premise of this book is so unique that I think it deserves to become a movie. I think it'll be very interesting to see all the different people that A lived in and how he fell in love while changing body every single day. I heard that it's also in the progress of being adapted into a movie, but I'm not too sure.
Wonder by R.J. Palacio | Book Review
I think Wonder will make a perfect family movie; because it focuses on children's lives and there are a lot of things that can be learned through the story—no matter what age we're at.

The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern | Book Review
Even though I didn't absolutely love the book, I think The Night Circus will be something magical to watch as a movie. I'd love to see this book become a movie because I want to see how the Night Circus will be portrayed. I want to see all the magical and enchanting setting of the story that's extremely beautiful in my imagination.
Room by Emma Donoghue
This one is also in the works and is set to premiere within this year—although I'm not exactly sure when. Room is one of my favorite books ever because it's an amazing story, especially because it's told from the perspective of the child. I'm really excited to see this as a movie but I'm pretty sure it will tell the story in a different way.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon | Book Review
Another favorite book of mine and I love the idea of this book being made into a movie. And back when I read this book in 2012, it was already adapted into a theatrical performance, so I'm sure it's not impossible for it to become a movie. There's a little bit of mystery in it as well; and it's really heartwarming to see the story from the main character's point of view.
Between Shades of Gray by Ruta Sepetys | Book Review
I don't usually watch historical fiction movies, but I will watch it if it's adapted from this book. It's a World War II stories that's heart-wrenching and very emotional. The book tells the story of survival, family bonds, friendship, and hope. And I love the characters in the story as well. I personally think this book deserves to become a movie.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell | Book Review
I'd really love to see the adorable chemistry between Eleanor and Park; how they first met when Park let Eleanor sit beside him, when they read comics or listened to music together—I think it will be really sweet. Aside from that I think it will be a good movie for teenagers/young-adults to watch.
To All the Boys I've Loved Before | Book Review
The last one is another YA contemporary, and the main reason it's on this list is because I want to see Peter Kavinsky! The book described Peter as this really handsome guy who's full of charms; and yes, it was his personality that made me love him when I read the book. But I need to see him in real life. I need to know who will they cast as Peter.

Alright, that's it for this week's list! Have you read any of the books on this list? Do you have any books that you're hoping will be adapted into a movie? Feel free to share your thoughts or even your own Top Ten Tuesday links below :)) I'll be glad to check them out. Bye!

  1. Saya penasaran sama castnya E&P, soalnya mereka bukan jenis tokoh yg mainstream. Cowok blasteran Korea-Amerika dan cewek dengan body montok.
The Night Circus, saya juga kurang suka sih sama bukunya tapi bakal keren kalau divisualisasikan.

  2. Peter Kavinsky! Yes, I want to see him as real person. I'm not familiar with any young hollywood actors so I have no candidate. he..he..But I like to picture Krystal from f(x) as Lara Jean. She's suitable for the role, don't ya think?

    1. Me too, I'm not familiar with too many hollywood actors so I don't have anyone in mind. I think Krystal will do fine as Lara Jean :D although I think the girl on the cover also suits the character well xD
