.

It's been a month since I last did a Top 5 Wednesday post, but I feel like it's relevant to do this post since we're already half-way through 2015. Actually Top Ten Tuesday also have this topic for June but I don't think I can choose up to ten books. So that's why I'm going with just 5 for this one :)) I've read 42 books so far in 2015, and I have discovered some pretty amazing books. So here are my Top 5 Favorite Books of the Year So Far! And this time I'm putting my list in order, starting from number 5. You can click on the book titles to read my book reviews as well ;)

5. Walking After You by Windry Ramadhina
Number five on this list is an Indonesian/local book that became one of my favorites this year! It's written by one of my favorite authors, and I really love how beautifully written it is. I love the theme of the story that focuses on forgiving oneself and how to move on with life after tough times. It's really sweet, cute, and heartwarming as well :))
4. A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness
This book was so depressingly beautiful! I absolutely fell in love with Patrick Ness' writing; how he slowly unfolds the story and all the strange things that's been happening made sense in the end. This book definitely made me want to pick up more book by Patrick Ness—hopefully I'll be able to do that very soon!

3. Prodigy by Marie Lu / Champion by Marie Lu
I know I'm quite late with this trilogy, but I'm glad I finally read it this year! This is yet another awesome dystopian trilogy. If you like fast-paced, action-packed story, you should definitely try reading this series. I love how the story progressed from book one until book three. It seems like the whole storyline is well thought out since the very beginning, and the ending is so so satisfying. I listed two of the books of the trilogy because I'm not sure which one I liked better; but I'll just count it as one :))

2. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan / The House of Hades by Rick Riordan
Same thing goes with The Heroes of Olympus series that I finished early this year; I can't choose which one I liked better out of these two. But for me, these two books are the best out of the whole series. They're also very intense, fast-paced, action-packed, and definitely a page-turner because I can't wait to see how the mystery will unfold. What I love the most about Rick Riordan's writing is probably his humor. I laughed a lot during these two books, despite the gloomy atmosphere in The House of Hades.
1. Wonder by R.J. Palacio
And lastly, the number one on this list goes to the most heartwarming book I've read in 2015 so far. I love the characters in this book and most of all I love R.J. Palacio's beautiful writing. It was able to engage me emotionally with the story and also made me sympathize with what the characters are feeling throughout the book. Wonder managed to make me cry happy tears by the end of it; and that rarely happens to me.

Alright, those are my favorite books of the year so far in 2015! I know they're not particularly new books, but I'm still really happy I finally read them this year :) Have you read the books on my list? Feel free to share your favorite books of the year so far in the comments below! I always love recommendations and would love to check them out. Okay, bye now!
