So this is actually a pretty late post, because I missed last week's Top 10 Tuesday topic when I went out of town. Last week's topic is to pick Top Ten All Time Favorite Books From the Past 3 Years. Even though it's late, I still want to make this post because I think it's a good way to look back at the books I've read in the past 3 years and pick the books that I've considered as my all time favorite. I gave a lot of 5 stars rating during those years, but not all of them I would categorize as my all-time favorites. Because all-time favorite is quite a big statement. Anyways, here are the books on my all-time favorite list from 2012 :) (You can click the book titles to go and see my full book reviews)
If I Stay by Gayle Forman (2012)
This book made me fell in love with Gayle Forman's writing, and the story is definitely the kind I love: heartwarming, heartwrenching, and overall an emotional read. Gayle Forman's beautiful writing made me cry; and it's definitely an all-time favorite :) It's still the best book I've read from her so far.
The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon (2012)
This book got my attention right at the first page, and that's definitely a sign of a good book. It's actually a pretty simple story, but it also brings out a lot of deep emotions. It's a very very interesting and unique read that deserves to be an all-time favorite for me.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer (2012)
I can't really remember the details of this book, but I know for sure that I loved it so much. The book is so well-written, as if it pulled me inside the story and gave me all the FEELS. There are so many quotes that left me speechless and I have to reread that passage over and over, just because of how beautifully written it is.

Every Day by David Levithan (2013)
I still feel sad whenever I think about A, the main character of this book. I had quite a long book hangover after I finished this book, and I can't stop thinking about A. I definitely considers this book as an all-time favorite; and I seriously need to read another David Levithan book.
The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (2013)
This may come as no surprise, because Augustus Waters is my man ♥♥♥ It's a beautiful young-adult love story that tugs at my heartstrings. There are so many moments when this book managed to make me tear up. And again, I need to read more John Green's books in the future.
Divergent by Veronica Roth (2014)
Divergent is probably the second dystopian series I read after The Hunger Games. And it's definitely not disappointing—especially the first book. I really love the world building, the characters, and all the conflict surrounding it. The first book is definitely my all-time favorite, and overall it's also a great series.
The Maze Runner by James Dashner (2014)
I love this book so so much, because it's action-packed, fast-paced, and doesn't give me a single chance to get bored. It's the kind of book that's so exciting and is hard to put down. And it will always be an all-time favorite because this book introduced me to Minho, my sassy runner ♥♥
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak (2014)
Another heartwrenching book on this list, and this time it's a historical fiction. This book definitely deserves all the love it gets, because everything about The Book Thief is absolutely beautiful. I adore and love the characters in this book, and my heart was severely broken at the end :'(
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn (2014)
I consider this book my all-time favorite because of how insane it was. I think this is the first time I read a book this twisted. And obviously, I loved it. The first 100-pages was a bit slow-paced, but it's all worth it in the end. So so good. Need to read Gillian Flynn's other books soon.
The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan (2015)
The only book from 2015, because I haven't read that many English books this year. The Mark of Athena is my favorite book from The Heroes of Olympus series. It's fast-paced, action-packed, and an all-round entertaining read. I already miss Percy Jackson so bad :(
That's it for this week's list! I wanted to include a lot more books but they're my reads from 2011 or even further back ㅠㅠ What are the books you consider as your all-time favorites? Because for me, a book I consider all-time favorites needs to leave an impression in me that will last for a very long time. Feel free to share the books you love in the comments below. See you in the next one, bye!
Ahhh.. I missed this post too!

DeleteAll time favorites sih sementara Bossypants, Koala Kumal, sama karya sastra klasik The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Tapi mungkin bisa nambah sih, terutama kalau sudah terkumpul duit buat beli bukunya Lena Dunham, Mindy Kalling, Amy Poehler, atau NPH
