HELLO! We're now officially at the end of 2014 and I am super excited for 2015. Even though this month was a very exciting one for me, unfortunately my reading was not doing great in December. It's quite embarrassing to say that I only finished reading 3 books this month.... please don't judge me. I still read everyday though, but the time I have to read each day is not plenty. Anyways, I'll use the holiday season as my excuse for not reading a lot of books. But I still completed my Goodreads Reading Challenge though ;) So here are the books I've read and reviewed this month, non-review posts in December, and a list of books I'm planning to read in January 2015.
My first read this month was pretty disappointing, because I had extremely high hopes for Hannibal. The third book in the Hannibal Lecter series finally focused on Hannibal's character, however, I wasn't very fond of the execution. Even though I still love Hannibal's charismatic character, it was a pretty slow read, and I gave it 3/5 stars. ✮✮✮
In my last month's wrap-up post, I listed all five books in The Heroes of Olympus series on my TBR for December. I was really excited because my good friend loves this series. And I'm really liking the series, so far. We're introduced to new characters and there are a lot of mysteries yet to be unfold. Very action-packed and fun to read! 5/5! ✮✮✮✮✮
As for the sequel, I wouldn't mind giving this book 5/5 just for the appearance of Percy Jackson and his humor ㅋㅋㅋ. But the storyline is great as well, and this is the first time we're introduced to Camp Jupiter: the camp for Roman demigods! And again, there are new characters as well in this book. So far I'm really loving the diversity of the characters, and can't wait to see how they're going to work together. No need to question this, I'm giving it a 5/5 as well :)) ✮✮✮✮✮
Yup...those are the only books I read this month. I'm a bit ashamed of myself as I'm writing this wrap-up... But yeah, I was busy... and I watched a lot of dramas. After these three, I picked up Winna Efendi's new book Happily Ever After, which I finished but haven't write the review yet. It will definitely be published very soon :)) Even though I didn't read much this month, I think I was more productive in terms of non-review posts. As we're reaching the end of the year, there are many surveys/tags that summarize my reading this year. And these kinds of posts are really fun to make; because I can reminisce all the great books I discovered this year. I also watched 2 more great movie adaptations this month yayy :)) And of course, I also listed the books I'm planning to read in January.

December is a happy month; and Christmas is one of the reasons why. Even though it's the holidays season, I was actually pretty busy this past month—and I also went on a short trip to Singapore with my family (mostly for medical reasons). We really enjoyed our short getaway because we get to eat lots of good stuffs—I finally get to eat the famous Singapore Chili Crab! It was sooo good. We also bought quite a lot of things during that trip, some of them you can see in my Christmas (Book) Haul post ^^; And I'm also very happy to finally be able to do a giveaway again on this blog, hopefully I can do more in the future (if the financial situation allows it).
Anyways, I won't talk too much in this last part, because I wanted to also wrap-up my year tomorrow in my New Year's post :)) So many things to be grateful for, and I feel so blessed :)) I hope you all had a wonderful December, and see you next year!
