November topics for
Top 5 Wednesday sounds pretty exciting, so I decided to join in as well this month
—and also to add variety in my blog's contents. The first topic of the month is pretty simple, and I don't have that many to choose from either. As you can read from the title, this week topic is to choose
Top 5 Red Covers. I actually already picked 2 red books for the
Taylor Swift Book Tag (which I have scheduled, and will be published soon), so I'm going to pick another 5 besides those two.
Here's the list of red covers I love, in no particular order ;)
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler
Whilst choosing books with red covers, this one stood out the most because I displayed it on a special shelves because I think it looked good. The red is just so eye-catching, and the illustration of a cup falling down is pretty intriguing as well ;)
The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson
After so many years, I still haven't found the courage to start reading this series yet. This one also stood out to me because the book spine is also red. I love the intricate detail of something that looked like hair on the cover. And I think 'fire' and 'red' goes well together.
Negeri Para Bedebah by Tere-Liye
I think I've listed this one as one of my favorite book covers because of the meaning behind it. Even though only some parts of the book cover are red, I still want this book to be on this list. I especially love that wolf in sheep's clothing; and the man who wears a pinocchio mask which means that he's a liar. It's one of my favorite book as well.
Battle Royale by Koushun Takami
The red on this one is really contrast with the black title and images in the middle of it. Even though I haven't started reading this book, I think the red on the cover represents blood and deaths. A simple cover but on point, in my opinion.
London: Angel by Windry Ramadhina
The last red cover on this list is also an Indonesian book with red, but displays something sweeter—because it's a romance book. I absolutely love the simple cover on this, and the title that stood out the most. A very good read as well ;)
So those are my choices for this week's Top 5 Wednesday! Do you have a lot of red covers on your shelves? I'm also really excited for next week's topic, which is to choose Top 5 Couples! That will certainly be difficult, because I have so many favorites to choose from :D Feel free to join the fun by making your own posts regarding these topics. Bye!
