Book Blogger Test

.
image source: here. edited by me.
I was tagged by Kalista Putri @ Books and Stardust to do this book tag called Book Blogger Test. I don't know who created the original post; but it contains several questions related to books. The questions are not too much, so I thought it would be a great time for me to rest and answer these after a day of full work. So thank you Kalista for tagging me, and here are my answers :))

1. What are your top three book pet hates?
Fonts that are too small in books - with super tight line spacing! Seriously, this kind of layout is so tiring for the eyes. The last time I discovered a book with a really tiny font is when I read Twelve Years a Slave; and then I gave up reading the paperback and read it on my Kindle instead. Much better, because you can adjust the font size ;)
Getting water spilled on my books. And then the pages will get all curly and yucky. If I love the book, I will probably decide to get myself a new copy.
Reading a series before it ended - which leads me to severe cliff-hanging situations. I have a terrible memory and I read quite a lot of books. So if I don't marathon a series, I might forget what the previous book talked about when I started the next book a year later. So I always try to wait patiently until the series ended before I started reading them.
2. Describe your perfect reading spot.
☆ Nice and quiet (soft music is acceptable)
☆ Adequate lighting (not too bright and not too dark)
☆ Comfortable to sit / lie on for a very long time (doesn't make my back ache)
3. Tell us three book confessions.
☆ I get a lot of reading done when I do my business in the bathroom.
☆ I have so many books on my TBR list, and yet sometimes I still ponder on what to read next.
☆ I am extremely weak towards beautiful covers (if you didn't know already).
4. When was the last time you cried during a book?

YES. THIS. TFIOS. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. #okaynotokay This book just overflows me with emotions. Too many feels. So wonderfully and beautifully written. *update: and so very recently, I cried while reading People Like Us by Yosephine Monica. Review for the book is coming up soon ;)
5. How many books are on your bedside table?
I only have one - which is always my current read. But I also have my Kindle Paperwhite on my bedside table - and there's like a hundred books in there.
6. What is your favorite snack whilst your reading?
☆ Sliced fruits (bananas, most of the time)
☆ My current favorite snack: Fitbar!
☆ Drinks - iced tea, chocolate milk, or coffee (when I'm reading in public)
7. Name three books you would recommend to everyone.

This is actually very difficult for me to choose; because I always refrain myself from recommending books, since I know everyone has different preferences in reading. But finally I chose these three books which means a lot to me. The first one is The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch, it's a non-fiction book that really inspired me. Second is the Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling, because I think everyone should read this series. The last and third one is Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom; the first book that made me love Mitch Albom's writing - and this book totally changed my life.
8. Show us a picture of your favorite bookshelf on your bookcase.

Well, I actually don't really have a favorite bookshelf because I literally love each and every one of them. I just randomly took a picture of one - and in this shelf, there's plenty of books I have yet to read. I also place another thing I love on this shelf: scented candles! It's my newest obsession, and it has frequently been my reading companion as well.
9. Write how much books mean to you in just three words.
My alternate world.
10. What is your biggest reading secret?
I don't even know how much books I have on my TBR list, because I have too many.
♥♥♥♥
Lastly, I'm going to tag these wonderful people:
Puspita Sanri @ Afteanoon
Yovano @ Kandang Baca
And if you also want to answer, feel free to do so! ;)

  1. Oooh, I love fitbar tooo! Especially the nut flavour :D :D It's like happiness in small piece ahaha
And I totally get the cover weakness, I suffer from the same things too. One look at a pretty book and I turned all grabby hand, all while I haven't even read the blurb yet -_-

And oh, I also got some case of unfortunate water spilling too! We actually can get that straight again :D Just spritzs some more water on the page, lined it with plastic (so the ink will not seep everywhere) and pressed it overnight :D

Anyway, fun post! Your bookshelf is gorgeous by the way :)
